It's funny when he cries in the Metallica Documentary.
i love that part in 'some kind of monster'. i love that whole movie. when that came out mustaine was pissed and said that he wasn't in a good state of mind because it was right after 9-11. classic.
It wouldn't be half as funny if Lars weren't all like "Is this clown still here breathing my air?" while Mustaine groped for closure.
i don't know what mustaine's problem is anyway. he's got a ton more cred than metallica at this point.
Cred does not = $$. Although I suspect he's done ok for himself. I also enjoyed watching the bad-ass metal monster weeping like a small child. These guys are real assholes when they sober up.
I don't know how much cred Mustaine really has. I mean, I talked smack about Metallica's Black Album as much as anyone, but I repect what those guys have done, they really have created a monster (pun intended.)
Mustaine's songwriting skill seemingly took a dive once he got sober, and he's been treading water ever since, or so it seems from afar. I'm certainly not paying him too much attention. You know what they say, "no junk, no soul".
ah, that's true..his new albums suck.
metallica just took a larger fall from grace.
they both (and slayer), have new albums coming out soon. we'll see who holds up. my money's on slayer.
Stain was and is too full of himself to make good music. He is too involved in his message to make good rock. Great guiyarists get themselves involved in things they shouldn't Look at Eddie playing the keys or the Stain trying to be message driven. Bad ideas all around. Rock! It's what you're good at.
