Football

Ajusted's post on baseball got me going on a football post. This upcoming season promises to be a great one. Here's why:
1. This year's draft class is killer. I don't care if a monkey can score better than Vince Young on that test (that same monkey would've lost by at least 14 points in the Rose Bowl), he's a great quarterback and should be fun to watch. Oh, and that Bush guy is good too.
2. The Bears: They should be a lock for the division. I like the Greise pickup...sure, we have 2 injury prone QB's, but they are GOOD and injury prone.
3. The trades:
- T.O. to Dallas. You know you're waiting for the first TD he scores and runs out to the mid-field star...I'm sure Sportscenter already has the on-screen graphic rendered and cued up.
- Edgerrin James to Arizona. Ha, ha, looks like Peyton won't make the super bowl again!
- Dante to Miami. Saban's done a good job...I'm just interested in seeing how Culpepper will play out.
- Aaron Brooks to the Raiders. I don't know much about him actually but the offense is just waiting to explode. I'm psyched that Art Shell is back too. I'll be at the opening Monday Night game.
4. The scheduling: The Sunday Night national games have flex scheduling late in the season. This guarantees good matchups every week.
5. The new coaches: We'll see how some of these rookie head coaches pan out.
