Heaven & Hell

Went to the Heaven & Hell show last night. Heaven & Hell is Dio-era Black Sabbath - Dio, Butler, Appice and Iommi. For some legal reason that can't use the name Black Sabbath. Whatever, it rocked. I was a HUGE Mob Rules fan in high school and it was amazing seeing them play "Sign of the Southern Cross" and "Falling off the Edge of the World" live. They played ZERO Ozzy songs, which was awesome. Dio is epic on stage. He looks like Willow Ufgood.

Megadeth opened for them. I don't care, Mustaine is still badass. I wish they would have played more songs off of "Peace Sells", but they didn't have much time and had to play the hits. They did play "Wake up Dead", which was nice.

Night of the living Heavy. Those old timers still crush the shit out of 95% of "metal" bands around today.

NBA

Well, well, the NBA pre-season is finally coming to a close. Let the real season begin!

The Bulls look poised to make a run in the playoffs and have a shot at the number one seed. We'll see about that. As long as they jump past Cleveland for 2 we're in good shape. The East is lousy and that's the way Chicago teams like it!

Out here in the West, the Warriors are precariously close to making the playoffs...My prediction is they miss it by a half game. I'm still unsure why they don't change their name to the Oakland Warriors, wear Silver & Black and sign Ron Artest to kick the crap out of the band that plays during timeouts. Instantly legit and good for at least 10 more wins.

Go Bulls!
