I went up to Tahoe last weekend for a bachelor party. I have finally found my game of choice - Craps.
This has been my progression:
Slots - The no-brainer gambling gateway drug. I still like "Wheel of Fortune".
Video Poker - Nothing beats sitting at a bar playing video poker ordering $80 Vodka Tonics.
Roulette - Started this a couple years ago and it can be fun if you plunk down a couple hundred to play with. Been playing less and less though.
Blackjack - I finally got the hang of it last year. Great odds and if you get a table with some friends it's a good time.
Craps - I've been wanting to play this for a long time and the guys I went up to Tahoe with all play so it was perfect. The basic game is totally easy and gives the best odds of all the games. I found that around 4AM you can't beat the craps table for pure casino fun.
The way I see it Poker is the next and final step. We played at the house (hold em, of course), and although it's fun I don't really have the patience for extended sessions. It's like playing D&D.
